THE PLOT:

Ten years ago, Japan was attacked by a strange unstoppable creature which was later called a Hedrodyne. It took a great deal of sacrifices and loss of life to stop the creature. A private company builds a giant robot that was called Dia-Guard. But not another creature appeared for 10 years and Dai-Guard becomes more of a joke then the protector of the city. Until the day a new Hedrodyne raises his ugly head.

Against orders three PR officers steal Dai-Guard and now are our only help to protect the city against this new wave of Hedrodyne attacks.

ZEDD'S OPINION:

Office workers saving the day from evil monsters from an alternite universe. Good premise, I like the characters for the most part. The Army guy started out like such a jerk, but he warms up and turns into a value member of the team. The company caring about Profits more then lives is kind of stupid, after all, the profit margins will go down if the human race is WIPED OUT!!!! But all and all Japan made another great anime series worth buying and watching over and over again. I give it...9 STARS!

VOLTRON'S OPINION:

I agree with Zedd on this. There are great stuff in this and the whole company bitching about money is the only major flaw. After all how could they be held responible for the damage, when the monster is going to destroy the city weither they interfer or not. It makes no sense to me. If this was American, the company wouldn't held responible for paying for damage. They would say, it was either not or let the monster kill us all. Which would you have prefer and that would be the end of it. But that's small comapred to the rest of the series. I give DAI-GUARD 9 STARS as well.

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):

+ CHARCTERS (The characters were mostly likeable)
+ CREATURE DESGINS (We both liked the geometric shapes of the creatures.)
+ DAI-GUARD (We both love Dai-Guard.)
+ STORIES (The stories and writting are great.)

...AND FINALLY...

ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES)

- COMPANY (The company complaining about paying for damage I don't think they had too.)
